As with the original Tamagotchi you must take care of your pet, how you care for it affects the way your Tamagotchi will grow. Hatch your egg. Will it be a boy or a girl? Give it a name, care for it, exercise it so it doesn’t become overweight and unhappy, clean up after it, nurse it back to health when its sick, discipline it when it’s naughty and praise it when it’s good. By using the new Infra-Red function you can communicate with your friends, exchange gifts and play games together. If your friendship goes well, you can even make Tamababies!

The screen size is twice the size of the original, making images of the Tamagotchi characters much clearer. The overall programme capacity is 5 times larger allowing for more fun animations.
